Adrian Greenwood Chair
Name:
Adrian Greenwood
Why I joined the organisation and what I hope to achieve:
Southwark Churches Care is an excellent organisation which does very good work by enabling volunteers to befriend elderly and isolated people, mostly in their own homes. As we enter a period of uncertainty and change in the operating and funding environment for such organisations, I want to use my experience to help steer SCC into a successful and sustainable future.
Background:
I was born in Leeds, Yorkshire. I came to Bermondsey in 1973 to complete my education and have lived here ever since. I am married with 3 grown up children. I help to care for my elderly father in law. I attend St. James Church Bermondsey. I have been a member of the General Synod of the Church of England since 2000.
Interesting fact:
I completed the London Marathon 10 times between 1992 and 2003
