Chris Young
Chris moved to Southwark from Zambia in 1999 to attend the London School of Economics from which he graduated in 2003 with a degree in Economics. He went train with PricewaterhouseCoopers, becoming a member of the ICAEW in 2006. He left PwC to work at Barclays Capital as a Trader, leaving this role in September 2009 to join Mizuho International Plc. Since June 2011, he works at Newedge, the largest broker in the world.
Chris serves as Treasurer to SCC. He is drawn to the role as he feels that he had the right skill set and is very impressed by the dedication and fantastic community work the volunteers perform in their service to the elderly of Southwark.
Chris is also Treasurer and Director of ASAP - AIDS Support Awareness Project, for which he received recognition in The Barclay's Chairman Awards in 2007. He lives in Borough and is married with two sons.
